Sea Turtle Fun facts: How you can help baby sea turtles!

Here's what you can do the help keep baby sea turtles safe. There's more info about sea turtles at: http://www.scaquarium.org/seaturtle/rescue.aspx Knock over your sand castles and fill in your holes at the beach when you leave. Baby turtles hatch at night and can get stuck in them!

- Pick up trash, like plastic bags or soda cans on the beach and throw them away in a trash can or recycling bin. This will keep them from washing out into the ocean where a turtle might eat them.

- Help keep nests safe. They are marked on the dunes with orange signs. Below the sand lie lots of fragile turtle eggs. Be careful not to step or dig too close to them.

Can you believe I forgot my Camera!

I forgot to bring my camera to "decorate a cookie" night. We had some yummy looking cookies too! I wish I could share some pictures! Oh well, there are many more cookie nights ahead of us. I'll be sure to bring my camera then.

Our next Kids night you can make either a small box that looks like a turtle or a frog. They are super cute!
